Introduction

My name is Nicholas Han and I am currently attending San José State University as a sophomore. I am a Communications Major and I want to hopefully minor in either Journalism or Public Relations.

I am 19 years-old and I currently reside in Southern California, more specifically, Chino Hills. I grew up in Southern California my whole life, up until my freshman year in college when I moved up to San José. I chose San José State because they have a very good Communications and Journalism program that I hope to earn a degree in. I am very passionate about sports, so I hope to get a job working for a sports company, whether it’s being a journalist or being a communications specialist.

I chose to take MCOM 63 because of the relevance of New Media in today’s society. The name of the course drew my attention because there are so many types of media nowadays, I thought I could take advantage and learn all about new media. I also think this course is a great stepping stone for taking a journalism minor, as we learn about writing in media throughout this course.
